NI's Leading CCTV Provider Free Quotation Today - No Obligation

We provide CCTV, Intruder Systems, WiFi, and network cabling services to homes and businesses across Northern Ireland. If you're not sure whether your location is within reach, just give us a call and we'll let you know.

Yes. We install and support systems for domestic properties — houses, bungalows, farms, holiday lets — as well as commercial premises such as shops, offices, warehouses, and small business units. The right setup looks a little different for each, and we tailor our recommendation to your property and budget rather than offering a one-size-fits-all package.

Yes. For most jobs we'll arrange a visit (or a remote consultation for smaller WiFi jobs) to understand exactly what you need before quoting, so the price you're given reflects the actual work involved rather than a generic estimate.

It depends on the size of the property, the number of cameras or outlets required, the type of equipment you choose, and how much cabling or building access is involved. Rather than guess on the phone, we prefer to either see photos/a floor plan or carry out a short site visit so we can give you an accurate, no-surprises quote.

Yes. Once your system is installed, we're on hand if you have questions, need an adjustment, or run into an issue. Get in touch by phone or email and we'll talk you through it or arrange a callback visit if needed.

Call 07717 846909 or email cme@engineer.com with a brief description of what you need (property type, rough size, what's prompting the enquiry) and we'll arrange a quote or site visit.

A visible CCTV system is one of the most effective deterrents against break-ins, trespassing, and theft, and it gives you a clear record of who's been at your property if something does happen. For homeowners that often means peace of mind around parcel deliveries, driveways, and outbuildings; for businesses it can mean protecting stock, staff, and premises, and having footage available if you ever need to look into an incident.

Analogue cameras send video over coaxial cable and are generally the cheaper option, which makes them a good fit if you're upgrading an older system that already has coax cabling in place. IP cameras send footage over a standard network cable (or WiFi) and typically offer sharper image quality, better digital zoom, and easier integration with apps and smart home/business systems. We can advise which makes more sense for your property once we know what's already installed and what you want to get out of the system.

This comes down to your property's layout — entrances, driveways, gardens, car parks, blind spots around the building — and what you most want covered. A small terraced house might only need one or two cameras at the front and back, while a larger property or commercial site could need several to avoid gaps in coverage. We'll walk the site with you and suggest camera positions that give the best coverage for the budget you have in mind.

Yes, most modern CCTV systems we install support a companion app so you can check live footage and play back recordings from your phone or tablet wherever you have an internet connection. We'll set this up for you as part of the installation and show you how to use it before we leave.

If your cameras only cover your own property — your house, garden, or business premises — that's generally straightforward. Things to be mindful of include avoiding cameras that capture next door's garden or a public footpath more than necessary, and (for businesses in particular) making people aware that CCTV is in use, for example with signage. We're happy to talk through positioning with this in mind, though for detailed legal questions about data protection obligations we'd always recommend checking current guidance from the ICO, since requirements can change.
